7.5 Battery Status
From the main menu, select Get Voltage to obtain a fresh voltage reading. For a Nickel Metal
Hybride pack, the voltage is nominally 18.75V but may be as high as 21.5V immediately after a
charge, falling to below 17.0V when nominally flat.
7.6 Depth Telemetry
The Transponder may be fitted with an optional Depth Sensor. If fitted, the end-cap will be identified
as having the options C (connector) and D (depth). Transponders that are fitted with a Depth
Sensor can be instructed to send Depth information at each interrogation.
When this feature is ON, the Transponder transmits a reply signal to each interrogation as normal,
plus a second signal on a different frequency at a later time. The time difference between the two
transmission signals is dependent on the depth measured by the sensor in the Bottom End-cap.
When this feature is OFF, the Transponder transmits only a single reply signal to each
interrogation.
NOTE
Turn Depth OFF to preserve battery life, when not required.
From the main screen, when the Get Status button is pressed, the Depth Status will read as Depth
On/Off/Not fitted.
Unless the Depth Sensor was detected as Not fitted, the user is allowed access to further depth
parameters by pressing the More… button on the General Status screen.
When pressed, the following screen is displayed.
