6. If problems are experienced attempting to download, the Display all activity box can be
ticked.
7. All communication between Transponder and PC will now be displayed.
8. This feature can assist Sonardyne to diagnose faults, if the entire window contents are copied
and pasted into an email to support@sonardyne.com.
9. Check the underwater connector is clean.
7.8.1.3 Checking a successful download
1. Following download, return to the Main Screen.
2. Press the Get Status button to confirm the new firmware has been implemented.
7.8.1.4 Downloading to an already-erased Transponder
1. If a Transponder’s memory has already been erased but firmware has not been downloaded
(probably due to a previously unsuccessful Download attempt), the Transponder will transmit
a message every few seconds from its RS232 output.
2. This indicates to the PC the Transponder is ready for download.
3. The normal procedure of pressing the Start Download button will not work in this condition.
4. Press the Listen button.
