NOTES
Pull the Pressure Relief Vent Valve until two ‘O’ rings are visible. A retaining device
prevents the valve from being fully detached.
The Pressure Relief Vent Valve is spring loaded and will return to the closed position if
released.
8. Two ‘O’ rings should be visible when the vent valve is fully withdrawn.
9. Inspect the ‘O’ rings for cleanliness and serviceability.
10. Using a tapered plastic tie-wrap (or similar), remove the retraining rod (Figure 6-1), used to
retain the end-cap, by inserting under the retaining rod and lifting it clear of the groove.

CAUTION
Do not damage the WSM6 housing when attempting to remove the retaining rod.
Damage to the protective coating will result in corrosion.
11. Using a tool with a narrow rounded end, push on the other end of the retaining rod to slide it
clear of the groove.
12. When possible pull the retaining rod with a pair of pliers clear of the WSM6.
13. Inspect the retaining rod and discard if damaged.
