Stop Jetting With Cleaning
This function is also accessible on the Main screen by selecting Stop Jetting.
Stops the flow of ink and/or makeup through the Umbilical Tube and Printhead.
“Stop Jetting With Cleaning” should be used when the system will not be in use for 8
hours or more.
CAUTION – PROPERTY DAMAGE: “Stop Jetting With Cleaning” should be
used sparingly. It briefly shoots pure makeup fluid through the system.
Frequent use of this function can dilute the ink, resulting in poor print
quality, wasted ink, and the potential to overflow the Mixing Tank.
Purge
This function is only accessible through the Ink System screen, and is mainly used to
clear a minor blockage in the Printhead.
Once Purge has been selected, there will be a 10 second delay, after which the
JetStream will deactivate the ink jet for about 20 seconds. During this 20 seconds, the
user must shoot makeup fluid at the Gun Body Nozzle using the Cleaning Bottle. A
suction will also be created at the Gun Body Nozzle. At the end of the 20 seconds, the
ink stream resumes coming out of the Gun Body.
