Viscosity Measurement
Measures the viscosity of the ink/makeup mixture in the Mixing Tank. The Viscosity
Measurement button triggers an instantaneous measurement of ink viscosity. This
function is generally only used during troubleshooting,
CAUTION – PROPERTY DAMAGE: This function should only be activated
by trained, qualified personnel. If in doubt, contact your authorized Squid
ink Distributor.
IMPORTANT: If not timed properly within the JetStream’s normal 3 minute viscosity
measurement cycle, activating this function can trigger an inaccurately high reading
that results in a system fault.
Add Makeup
Manually adds makeup (approximately 2 ml) to the Mixing Tank.
CAUTION – PROPERTY DAMAGE: This function should only be activated
by trained, qualified personnel. If in doubt, contact your authorized Squid
ink Distributor.
Add Makeup is generally only used when commissioning the JetStream to speed up the
process of bringing the ink in the Mixing Tank to the proper viscosity (see
“Commissioning the JetStream” on page 58).
CAUTION – PROPERTY DAMAGE: Add Makeup should rarely be used. It
adds pure makeup fluid to the Mixing Tank. Frequent use of this function
can dilute the ink, resulting in poor print quality, wasted ink, and the
potential to overflow the Mixing Tank.
