Basic
Selects settings related to what triggers the JetStream to print.
• Trigger Mode: Selects the input to trigger printing. Options include:
A Photocell triggers printing. This is the most common setting,
even when using an Encoder.
Printing happens at regular intervals based on pulses from the
Encoder. The Photocell is ignored. This can be useful on an
extrusion line where an extruder is pushing PVC pipe under the
Printhead, and the JetStream is printing the same thing over and
over every several inches for the entire length of the pipe.
Photocell signal will trigger nonstop printing as long as the
product is under (seen by) the Photocell sensor. An example is
continuously printing on an electrical wire as the wire is being fed
through under the Photocell/Printhead.
Each Photocell trigger causes the JetStream to print a different
piece of data from a USB drive.
The Photocell is ignored. Selecting Print on the Main screen will
trigger nonstop printing. The main application for this setting is
during troubleshooting.
• Delay Multiplier: Increases the value of the “Initial Print Delay” (time between trigger
and printing) and “Delay Between Prints.” The default is 2.
• Delay Between Prints: When printing multiple times on a single item, sets the
amount of time between prints.
• Printing Speed: Sets how fast the printer prints. This number does not correspond
to any specific unit of time: it merely represents an increase or decrease in how fast
the columns of dots are printed. The range is 0–1000. The default setting is 1000.
