This light illuminates when the automatic
headlight beam leveler does not operate
normally.
If this light illuminates while driving or does
not turn off approximately 3 seconds after
turning the ignition switch to the “ON”
position, we recommend that you have
your vehicle inspected at your SUBARU
dealer.
& Warning chimes and warning
light of keyless access with
push-button start system (if
equipped)

The keyless access with push-button start
system sounds a wa rnin g chime and
flashes the access key warning light on
the combination meter in order to minimize
improper operations and help protect your
vehicle from theft.
When the warning chime sounds and/or
the warning light flashes, take the appro-
priate action.
NOTE
For China models, the outside warning
chime will not sound.

When the warning chime sounds, take the
appropriate action.
! Door ajar warning

When the door lock button or the “ ”
button on the access key is pressed to
lock the vehicle while any of the doors
including the rear gate is not fully closed,
the warning chime will sound.
NOTE
Close the door that is open, and lock
the vehicle.
! Lockout warning

When you attempt to lock all doors by the
procedure “locking from the outside with-
out key” while the access key is left inside
the vehicle, the warning chime will sound
for 2 seconds, and all doors including the
rear gate will be unlocked.
NOTE
Take out the access key from inside the
vehicle, and lock the vehicle.
! Access key lock-in warning

When the doors are closed and the door
lock button is pressed to lock the vehicle
while the access key is left inside the
vehicle and the push-button ignition switch
is “OFF”, the warning chime will sound for
2 seconds.
NOTE
Take out the access key from inside the
vehicle, and lock the vehicle.
! Power warning

When the door lock button or the “ ”
button is pressed while carrying the
access key and the push-button ignition
switch is in a position other than “OFF ”,
the warning chime will sound for a max-
imum of 60 seconds and the doors will not
be locked.
NOTE
. Switch the push-button ignition
switch to “OFF”, and lock the doors.
When the push-button ignition switch
is in a position other than “OFF”,itis
not possible to lock the doors by the
door lock button or the “
” button on
the access key.
