3-32 Instruments and controls
This indicator shows the position of the
select lever.
When the manual mode is selected, the
gear position indicator (which shows the
current gear selection) and the upshift/
downshift indicator light up. Refer to
“
s07atAutomatic transmission” F7-18.
& LO position indicator
light (dual range MT
models)

This light illuminates when Hi-Lo select
lever is set at Lo position.
& Turn signal indicator
lights

These lights show the operation of the turn
signal or lane change signal.
If the indicator lights do not blink or blink
rapidly, any of the turn signal light bulbs
may be burned out. Replace the bulb as
soon as possible. Refer to “
s11beReplacing
bulbs” F11-55.
& High beam indicator
light

This light shows that the headlights are in
the high beam mode.
This indicator light also illuminates when
the headlight flasher is operated.
& Cruise control indica-
tor light (if equipped)

This light illuminates when the “CRUISE”
main switch is pressed.
NOTE
. If you press the “CRUISE” mai n
switch button while turning the ignition
switch to “ON”, the cruise control
function is deactivated and the cruise
control indicator light flashes. To re-
activate the cruise control function,
turn the ignition switch back to the
“Acc” or “LOCK”/“OFF” position, and
then turn it again to the “ON” position.

function indicator lamp “

simultaneously during driving, we re-
commend that you have the vehicle
checked by your nearest SUBARU
dealer.
& Cruise control set in-

This indicator light illuminates while the
rear fog lights are illuminated.
& Preheating indicator
light (diesel engine
models)

The preheating indicator light illuminates
when the ignition switch is turned to the
“ON” position and turns off after the
engine has sufficiently preheated (a few
seconds later).
NOTE
. When the weather is cold outside,
the preheating indicator light remains
illuminated a little longer than usual.
