2. Operate the priming pump in the
engine compartment by depressing the
pumping knob until you feel strong resis-
tance to bleed the trapped air from the fuel
system.
3. Try to start the engine within 15
seconds of starter motor operation.
If the engine does not start, perform step 2
once again and restart the engine within
15 seconds of starter motor operation.
If the engine still does not start the second
time, we recommend that you contact your
nearest SUBARU dealer for assistance.
4. After starting the engine, depress the
accelerator pedal lightly until the engine
runs smoothly. Also, confirm that all
warning and indicator lights have turned
off. The fuel injection system automatically
lowers the idle speed as the engine
warms up.
