11-22 Maintenance and service
Check the coolant level at each fuel stop.
1. Check the coolant level on the outside
of the reservoir while the engine is cool.
2. If the level is close to or lower than the
LOW level mark, open the reservoir cap
and add coolant up to the FULL level
mark. If the reservoir is empty, perform the
following steps.
1) Non-turbo petrol engine models
2) Diesel engine models
A) Radiator cap
Turbo petrol engine models
A) Coolant filler tank cap
B) Radiator cap
Label on the radiator cap of turbo petrol
engine models
a) WARNING
b) NEVER OPEN WHEN HOT.
c) 137 kPa
3. For non-turbo petrol engine models
and diesel engine models, remove the
radiator cap.
For turbo petrol engine models, remove
the coolant filler tank cap.
NOTE (turbo petrol models only)
The cap (without tabs) on top of the
radiator does not need to be removed.
To add coolant, remove the cap (with
tabs) on the coolant filler tank on top of
the engine.
4. Slowly pour coolant and refill up to just
below the filler neck as shown in the
