FITTING LOCKING MECHANISM
What to do ? Notes
Mount Locking Mechanism Support
080 on the headstock slide.
Note:
Take down the barfeeder link
support if required
Insert Screws 200 without tighten-
ing them.
Connect the locking mechanism to
the pneumatic unit...
... (see Para. 16.2 LOCKING
PNEUMATICS below).
Make sure that Locking Pin 050
approximately faces a notch of the
disk.
Activate Locking Pin 050 over NC to
lock.
Tap on Cylinder 060 for snug lock-
ing....
Tighten Screws 200.
Deactivate Locking Pin 050 over NC
to unlock.
Fit in place Barguide-Tube Support
100.
Mount the guard.
ANGULAR SETTING OF SPINDLE LOCK
For profiled bars (square, hex), it may be necessary to orient the spindle
key in relation to the disk notches.
For the angularly positioned machining for profiled bars, proceed as fol-
lows:
What to do ? Notes
Take down the guard.
Fit a profiled collet and bar in the
spindle and shift the bar up to the
tool line.
Close the collet.
Reduce the air pressure of the
conditioning unit by approx. 3 bars.
Position the spindle in the approxi-
mately required angle.
Note: Make sure that Locking
Pin 050 approximately faces
a notch of the disk.
Activate Locking Pin 050 over NC to
lock.
Loosen Screws 240.
Position the spindle in the exactly
required angle.
Tighten Screws 240... ...with 2 Nm torque as indicated
on the unit.
Deactivate Locking Pin 050 over NC
to unlock.
Reset the air pressure to its initial 6
bar.
Fit the guard in place.
