The parameterization of the evaluation is done in parameter-byte 0, bits 2 and 3, parameter "Signal
evaluation", see
page 12-85.

The set configuration deter
mines how the counter status is incremented or decremented according to
the rising and falling edges of signals A and B. The following evaluations are possible: The following
evaluations are possible:
Single evaluation:
– Only the rising edge of signal A is evaluated.
or
–
Only the falling edge of signal A is evaluated.
Double evaluation:
Both the rising and falling edge of signal A are evaluated.
Fourfold evaluation:
Both the rising and falling edge of signal A and B are evaluated.
Pulse and direction
Input A receives the counte
r signal and input B the direction signal.
A signal at input A can either increment or decremen
t the counter status depending on the state of
input B.
The count direction or respect
ively the direction signal is parameterized in byte 1, bit 0 of the process
input data (see Process input/status interface).
NOTE
Evaluation
options for the
counter module
The signals at A and B can be inverted.
