3 Cooling
3.1 Removing/installing the radiator
Preparations
1. Park the machine on firm, level and dry ground.
2. Apply the parking brake.
3. Lower the loader unit to the ground.
4. Stop the engine.
5. Wait one minute.
6. Open the engine cover.
Burn hazard due to hot coolant
Hot coolant can cause burns to the skin.
► Never open the cooling system if the engine is hot or if the cooling
system is under pressure.
► Let the engine cool down.
► Wear protective equipment.
Use a suitable container to collect the coolant as it drains off and dispose
of it in an environmentally friendly manner!
1. Release the pressure in the hydraulic system – see “Releasing
residual pressure in the hydraulic system” on page E-32.
2. Disassemble the base plate – see “Removing/installing the base plate”
on page 10-2.
3. Drain the coolant – see “Draining coolant” on page 1-42.
4. Unscrew breather filter 1.
➥ The residual pressure in the hydraulic oil reservoir is released.
5. Open the hydraulic oil filter cover 2.
6. Lift the filter insert 3 until the hydraulic oil has completely lowered into
the filter.
