Removing/installing the variable displacement motor
Preparing work
Tools:
Suitable lifting tackle with a carrying capacity of at least 50 kg
Suitable slings (cables and shackles) with corresponding load-bearing
capacity
Container for collecting oil
Plugs (different sizes) for closing the oil lines

Environment
Use a suitable container to collect the hydraulic oil as it drains off and
dispose of it in an environmentally friendly manner!
Preparations
1. Park the machine on firm, level and dry ground.
2. Apply the parking brake.
3. Lower the loader unit to the ground.
4. Stop the engine.
Information
Depressurize the hydraulic system according to Safety instructions for
work on the hydraulic system on page E-31.
5. Disassemble the cover panel of the foot well see Removing/
installing the footwell cover panel” on page 1-18.
6. Unscrew the knurled screws on solenoid valves 1 and 3 of the variable
displacement motor and pull off the connectors.
7. Loosen union nut 2 of the hydraulic return line (WS 27).
8. Remove the hydraulic line.
9. Close the hydraulic line and variable displacement motor with plugs.
