8 Work hydraulics
Lifting cylinder
2. Remove both lift cylinders from the loader unit. To do this, unscrew a
screw 3 on each side.
3. Dislodge a pin 2 on each side.
4. Lower lifting cylinder on the front chassis.
Injury hazard due to pressure
A thin jet of hydraulic oil escaping under high pressure can penetrate the
skin.
► Seek medical attention immediately if hydraulic oil penetrates the skin
or eyes.
► Only open hydraulic systems after the pressure in them has been
released.
► Wear protective clothes.
5. Release the pressure in the hydraulic system – see “Releasing
residual pressure in the hydraulic system” on page E-32.
6. Remove hydraulic lines 4 and 5 and close them with plugs.
7. Unscrew the screw 7.
8. Dislodge pin 6 and if necessary remove the compensation rings.
9. Lift out the lift cylinder.
Install in the reverse order.
Pay attention to the following instructions for assembly:
► Apply a thin coat of grease to the pins and bearings before inserting the
pins.
► Always use spring washers and washers for tightening the pins.
► After completing installation, apply grease to the cylinder and loader
unit bearings.
