Restarting the GS200
You must restart the GS200 to apply any new or changed network settings other than the
transmission terminator setting.

To use the GS200’s network features, you must configure the TCP/IP settings.
DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol)
DHCP is a protocol that temporarily allocates necessary information to a computer so
that it can connect to the Internet. If DHCP is turned on, the following settings will be
automatically assigned.

• Subnet mask
• Default gateway
• To use DHCP, the network must have a DHCP server. Consult your network
administrator to see if DHCP is available.
• Dif
ferent information may be assigned to the GS200 each time it is turned on. When
you are using a PC to access the GS200, you must check the GS200 IP address and
other network settings each time you turn the GS200 on.
