Ethernet Interface (Option)
IP Address (Internet Protocol Address)
• An IP address is a 32-bit value that is expressed using four octets. Each octet is
separated by a period and has a value from 0 to 255, as in “192.168.111.24.”
• Obtain an IP
address from your network administrator.
• The IP address is automatically assigned in networks that use DHCP.
Subnet Mask
• Consult your network administrator for the subnet mask address. You may not need to
set the subnet mask.
• The subnet mask address is automatically assigned in networ
ks that use DHCP.
Default Gateway
The default gateway setting is necessary to communicate between different subnets.
• Consult your network administrator for the default gateway address. You may not
need to set the default gateway.
• The default gateway address is automatically assigned in netw
orks that use DHCP.
Transmission Terminator
You can set the terminator that is used to send data from the command control server at
port 7655.
• Select CR, LF
, or CR+LF.
• The GS200 handles CR, LF, or CR+LF as the terminator when receiving data.
Note
• You must restart the GS200 to apply any changed network settings other than the
transmission terminator setting.
• You must also specify network settings, such as the IP address, on your PC. For information
on these settings, check your PC’s manual (help file) or consult your network administrator.
