 Fan replacement (Frames C and D)
To remove the fan, release the retaining clip (arrowed) carefully using a screwdriver.
Pull the fan holder out. Disconnect the fan cable. Carefully bend the clips on the fan
holder to free the fan.
Install the new fan in reverse order.
Note: The airflow direction is bottom-to-top. Install the fan so that the airflow arrow
points up.
Reforming the capacitors
The capacitors must be reformed if the drive is stored for a year or more. See page
45 for information on finding out the manufacturing date. For information on reforming
