Upgrade and Repair Procedures
This checklist highlights the high-level tasks required to upgrade and repair the Avaya IP600 or
Definity One system.
Installation Tasks For More Information
Replacing a TN795 board with a TN2314.
~ Connect laptop to the system.
~ Shut down Intuity Audix.
~ Save translations.
Definity announcements
Definity translation files
Intuity Audix translations, names, and
messages
~ Write down the customers info:
IP address
Subnet mask
Default gateway
Preferred DNS server
~ Back up to flash card or network drive.
Do not back up registry.
Do not back up to a local drive.
Remember the length of AUDIX
extensions
~ Shut down all applications.
~ Shut the system down.
~ Swap the TN2314 for the TN795.
~ Start the system.
~ Connect the laptop to the system.
~ Using IE, administer the system.
~ Enter the customer’s info:
IP address
Subnet mask
Default gateway
Preferred DNS server
~ Load and install license and password files.
~ Change the machine name to one you want.
~ Restore translations.
~ Shut down the system.
~ Restart the system.
