Upgrade R10 or later for DEFINITY One or
IP600.
~ Use the Feature Extraction Tool (FET), if
upgrading from a pre-R10 system.
~ Prepare for the upgrade.
~ Install a new license file.
~ Run the upgrade.
• Upgrade the system.
Replace the TN2314 circuit pack for repair. See ‘‘Replace the TN2314
circuit pack’’ on page 5-9.
Replace the hard disk.
~ Remove the old disk.
~ Add the new hard disk.
~ Verify the software on the new hard disk.
~ Restore customer’s data.

CAUTION:
When upgrading to a new release, do not
restore the Windows registry.

on page 5-10.
Replace the PCMCIA flash disk. See ‘‘Access Diskeeper
software to defragment the
disk’’ on page 5-13.
Defragment the disk using Diskeeper software.
Note: Do not schedule defragmentation to
occur during scheduled system
maintenance.

Test remote access from the TSO before
leaving the upgrade site.
