Beam Size Control
BlackTrax allows you to control the size of a fixture’s beam while it is following a Trackable. This is done
using the iris or zoom features of a fixture. The beam setting of a fixture is linked to the chapter it was
created. Fixtures can be in multiple chapters and have different beam sizes in each chapter.
If both zoom and iris control are enabled, the BTSystem will tell the fixture to first use zoom control to
shape the beam size. Using both the iris and zoom can increase the range.
To control the beam size of a fixture
In the Chapter widget, select the chapter the fixture is in.1.
In the Center pane, click on the Trackable the fixture is assigned to and click on the Fixture Icon of2.

Additional Pan-Flip Dimming Time: This feature manages how a fixture should behave if it
encounters a pan-flip during tracking in the chapter. When a fixture encounters a pan-flip in
BlackTrax, the fixture will douse, perform the flip then turn back on. The time it takes for the
fixture to turn back on is determined by the speed of the fixture's pan/tilt motors as defined in
WYSIWYG. The Pan-Flip Dimming feature is always enabled and the slider is available to add
additional time after WYSIWYG's time before the fixture turns back on (for example, in cases where
the fixture is slower than what WYSIWYG has on file).
To add pan-flip dimming time
In the Chapter widget, select the chapter the fixture is in.1.
