NOTE: Replace with new valve stem
seal rings during installation. The
removed seal rings are sorted for
waste disposal.
Valve Inspection
Inspect valve stem

for abnormal wear or
bending. Replace if it does.
Valve stem roundness (diameter

(intake valve and exhaust valve)
New 0.01 mm(0.0004 in)
Service limit 0.05 mm(0.0020 in)
Inspect valve guide inner diameter

. Adjust the valve guide with reamer if
beyond standard.

(0.1969 in~0.1973 in)
Service limit 5.045 mm(0.1986 in)
NOTE: Pay attention the rotating
direction of the reamer. Clean the metal
debris on reamer and valve guide.
NOTE: Valve guides can not be
removed. Replace the whole cylinder
head if damaged.
Valve Stem
NOTE: Clean the carbon deposit before
measurement.
Replace the valve stems if they are beyond
service limit, severely worn or they have
scratches.
