DTC Confirmation Procedure:
Confirm that battery voltage is between 11 and 14 V before performing the following procedures.
ï‚· Turn ignition switch to LOCK.
ï‚· Connect X-431 3G diagnostic tester (the latest software) to Data Link Connector (DLC), and make it
communicate with vehicle electronic module by the data network.
ï‚· Turn ignition switch to ON.
ï‚· Using X-431 3G diagnostic tester to record and clear the DTCs stored in the TCU.
ï‚· Turn ignition switch to LOCK and wait for a few seconds.
ï‚· Turn ignition switch to ON, and then select "Read Code".
ï‚· If DTC is detected, the malfunction indicated by the DTC is current. Go to the diagnosis procedure - Step 1.
ï‚· If DTC is not detected, the malfunction indicated by the DTC is intermittent. Please refer to Intermittent
DTC Troubleshooting.

circuit to the power
ï‚· Clutch friction plate
serious wearing or
sinter

Start engine and keep
it at following status for
at least 30 seconds:
apply brake, at R gear

Component Slipping
Start engine and make
the operation as
following: 20% - 50%
throttle opening, at D
gear, vehicle speed
higher than 30 km/h,
constant driving time
not less than 30
seconds
The torque
converter locking
clutch is
engaged for a
long time or high
slippage speed
exists after
engagement
ï‚· Solenoid circuit
open circuit or
short circuit
ï‚· TCU torque
converter locking
control solenoid
failure
ï‚· Hydraulic control
circuit fault
