Key Management
This option can be used to manage the digital keys associated with users.
Using the arrow keys, navigate to the screen "System Mgmt/Options/Key Management"
Now the selected key will appear on the first line, and the option to be applied to that key on the second
line. Use the right and left arrow keys to select a key, and the up and down arrows to change the option.
The available options are:
• Enabling (only available for previously acquired keys)
• Description (only available for previously acquired keys)
• Acquire
• Deletion (only available for previously acquired keys)
Acquire
This option can be used to acquire new digital keys.
1. Select a key using the left and right arrow keys.
2. Once you have reached the desired key 'ENTER' to start the acquisition procedure.
3. You will be asked to choose the type of device equipped with a key reader from which you wish to
acquire the key (Reader, Keypad, etc.); use the up and down arrows to select the type and press
‘ENTER’ to confirm:
4. You will be asked to choose the specific device from which to acquire the key (if, for example, you
chose the keypad option, specify which keypad); use the up and down arrow keys to select the
device and press ‘ENTER’ to confirm:
5. The following message will appear on the display:
6. Bring the key close to the sensing area on the device and the message will become:
7. Press 'ENTER' to confirm;the colour of the key acquired will appear:
8. use the up and down arrow keys buttons to select the user to be associated with the key, then press
‘ENTER’ to confirm.
