USING DIGITAL KEYS (RFID)
The main control unit functions can be carried out quickly and easily using the electronic key.
The digital keys (RFID) can be used with the following control unit command channels:
• Safekey keypad with RFID reader (Art. VEDOLCDPROX)
• RFID Reader (Art. VEDORF)
Before it can be used, a digital key must be associated with a user, who will then use it to log on to the control
unit and carry out the main functions.
One user can be assigned several digital keys belonging to the same system.
The same digital key can be used on different systems at the same time.
Using digital keys on the keypad
Area activation
To perform a total activation, simply pass a key over the sensing area of the reader while the system areas
are deactivated.
The reader will beep as soon as the key has been read; remove the key after this sound. A beep after
removal confirms successful activation.
IMPORTANT: to perform total activation the key should not be held in front of the sensing area for longer
than two seconds, as this could cause cycle mode (described below) to be enabled.
Activation with open zones / faults present / tampering present
Behaviour is the same as described previously, except that the open zones screen is shown after the key
is passed over.
The procedure described previously for the keypad and for the Vedo Touch also applies in this case.
Area deactivation
To carry out a total deactivation place a key over the sensing area of the reader, while the system areas are
activated. The reader will beep as soon as the key has been read; remove the key after this sound. A beep
after removal confirms successful deactivation.
