USING REMOTE COMMUNICATIONS
IMPORTANT: for management of both signaller and voice guide telephone calls, multi-frequency (DTMF)
telephone equipment is required.
Telephone signaller
When configured appropriately the signaller can send event alerts (alarm, tampering, fault, etc.) as follows:
Telephone calls
SMS (GSM module required)
Email
MMS (GSM module required)
Telephone calls
When the user receives a telephone call from the signaller, he/she will hear a voice recording giving
instructions on how to listen to the message. To be specific, you will hear:
"Press 1 to listen to the alarm message"
Once button '1' is pressed you will hear the message relating to the event, followed by instructions for
ending the call.
The instructions for ending the call are:
"Press # to end the call", "Press * to end all calls"
Press * to end the call in progress; all queued calls will not take place.
IMPORTANT: if voice message expansion is not present, the control unit will make the call but
instead of the voice message an alert tone will sound. In this case you do not need to press button '1'
to listen to the alert.
SMS
When the user receives an SMS it will contain an indication of the event which has occurred, or a customised
message entered by the installer.
Email
When the user receives an email it will contain an indication of the event which has occurred, or a
customised message entered by the installer.
MMS
The signaller sends an MMS containing images of a zone in alarm mode.
The MMS will consist of a description of the zone in alarm, plus the images acquired by the camera
associated with the zone. An example of the description: "Zone burglar alarm - Hall way zone (7)".
IMPORTANT: The number of images can be configured by the installer to a value between 1 and 4. It is
possible to select screen capture on pre-alarm*.
*The pre-alarm images will only be captured if the "pre-alarm" function has been assigned to the camera.
The number of images captured in the pre-alarm stage will depend on the length of the pre-alarm time
period; once the pre-alarm period has expired images will be captured during the course of the alarm
until the maximum number of images, set during the programming stage, is reached. For example, if the
pre-alarm is set to the maximum value, the 4 images shown will all be pre-alarm images, whereas if the
pre-alarm time i set zero, then all the images will be captured during the alarm.
