Creating a Command Mode Icon
To create a command mode icon using HyperTerminal:

Click Start

Accessories
Æ
HyperTerminal.

Double-click the Hypertrm.exe icon.
The Connection Description dialog box is displayed.

Type
Command
in the Name option.

Click OK.
The Phone Number dialog box is displayed.

Click Connect Using

Direct to Com 2.

Click OK.
The Modem Port Settings dialog box is displayed.

Click OK.
The command mode screen is displayed with a blinking cursor in
the upper-left corner. Commands can now be sent to the modem,
and the modem responds with a result code.
NOTE:
To hang up the modem, type ATH0 and press
Enter
.

Click File, then Save to save the session.

Click File, then Exit to quit.
A command mode icon is displayed in the HyperTerminal
dialog box.
