CD-ROM Drives
Removing a CD-ROM Drive from the MultiBay
CAUTION:
To prevent damage to the computer and CD-ROM drive
and loss of information, turn off the computer before removing a CD-
ROM drive from the MultiBay. Do not remove the CD-ROM drive
while the computer is turned on, in Suspend, or in Hibernation.
Electrostatic discharge can damage electronic components. Before
touching the CD-ROM drive, ensure that you are discharged of
static electricity by touching a grounded metal object.
1 Remove the compact disc from the CD-ROM drive.
2 Close the CD tray.
3 Turn off the computer.
4 Tilt the computer at an angle

and slide the MultiBay release
latch toward the rear of the computer to release the CD-ROM
drive from the MultiBay
