Connecting the Modem to a Cellular Phone
CAUTION:
Using the wrong cellular phone cable could permanently
damage the modem. Contact your Compaq authorized dealer,
reseller, or service provider for information about purchasing a cable
designed for this modem.

Turn off the computer.

Connect the 25-pin connector end of the cellular phone cable
into the 25-pin connector

on the right side of the computer.

Turn on the computer.

Insert the opposite end of the cellular phone cable into the
connector of your cellular phone

. (Size and shape of
connector varies depending on the cellular phone
manufacturer.)
5 Turn on the cellular phone.
NOTE:
The modem will not enter Suspend if it is registered with a
data-ready cellular phone.
