Mono microphone jack Connects an external monophonic
microphone.

Stereo speaker/headphone
jack
Connects stereo headphones or
external stereo speakers to the
computer. This jack is driven by
an amplifier and has volume
control. The internal computer
speakers are turned off when
external speakers are plugged
into this jack.

Stereo line-in jack Connects a CD player, tuner, or
tape deck to the computer.
