Changing from a DSVD Connection to a Data Connection
From the command mode of Windows HyperTerminal:

Escape to command mode by typing
Shift
+++
then wait for
OK.

Type
AT+VLS=0;O
then press
Enter
.
The modem responds OK and is now in data mode.
Changing from a DSVD Connection to a Speakerphone
Connection
While in DSVD mode from Windows HyperTerminal:

Escape to command mode by typing
Shift
+++
then wait for
OK.

Type
AT+VNH=2;H
then press
Enter
.
The modem responds OK and is now in speakerphone mode.
NOTE:
The H command automatically sets FCLASS=0.
