Adjusting Matrix Mixer and PQ Mixer
Input Controls
Matrix and PQ Mixer Input Levels
The levels for the first eight input sources (or “sends”) of a Ma-
trix or PQ mixer are controlled by the Output Encoders.
The eight Output Encoders on D-Show Profile control the in-
put levels of the currently selected Matrix mixer or PQ mixer
input sources. The Prev Page and Next Page switches bank the
Output Encoders between inputs 1–8, and inputs 9–12 (Left,
Right, C/Mono and User).
To control mixer input source (“send”) levels on D-Show Profile:
1 Press the Matrixes switch or the Personal Qs switch in the
Output Fader assignment controls to bank Matrix or PQ mix-
ers to the Output Masters section.
2 Press a Select switch for a Matrix or PQ to select that mixer
and view its inputs. Input parameters are shown on the top
row of the Output LCD. Input source levels are controlled by
the encoders, and output levels are controlled by the faders.
3 Press the encoder to turn that mixer input source on or off.
4 Turn the Output encoders 1–8 to set the level for the first
eight input sources assigned to the currently banked Matrix or
PQ mixer.
5 To adjust source inputs 9–12, press the Next Page switch to
bank those sources to Output Encoders 5–8. To return to
sources 1–8, press the Prev Page switch.
PQ Mixer Input Pan
The PQ mixer input (or “send”) pan controls adjust the pan-
ning of each PQ mixer input across the stereo outputs of the
PQ mixer. (Matrix mixers have mono outputs, so they do not
have pan controls.)
To control PQ send pan on D-Show Profile:
1 Press the Personal Qs switch in the Output fader assign sec-
tion.
2 Press an Output channel Select switch to select a PQ mix.
3 Press the Pan switch located below the Prev Page and Next
Page switches.
4 Adjust the Output Encoder 1–8 to adjust pan on PQ inputs
1–8. To access inputs 9–12 for the current PQ mixer, press the
Next Page switch.
1 Do one of the following to select input channels:
• Target the channel you want to send to an Aux bus by
pressing its Select switch.
– or –
• Hold the Multi Select switch, then press the Select
switches on each of the channels you want to send to an
Aux bus.
Linking and Unlinking Adjacent Matrix and
PQ Inputs
Adjacent inputs to Matrix and PQ mixers can be linked or un-
linked on a per input pair basis. Link status can be specified on
a per PQ or Matrix basis (for example, inputs 1 and 2 can be
linked for PQ 1, but unlinked for PQ 2). This gives you the
ability to control inputs as either a stereo-linked pair or as in-
dependent mono inputs.
◆ When linked, level and source on/off controls are linked.
◆ When unlinked, discrete level and on/off controls affect
each individual channel.
Stereo inputs (such as stereo groups, Mains LR, and ste-
reo-linked auxes) are linked by default, such as after a Clear
Console operation. Adjacent inputs can be linked or unlinked
at any time, in Config or Show mode.
