Chapter 17: EQ 137
Adjusting EQ
D-Show provides EQ controls in input fader strips, the ACS,
and on-screen.
Input Fader Strip HPF Controls
Each input strip provides HPF frequency control.
â—† HPF can be adjusted on each Input Channel using the En-
coder HPF assignment switch and row of encoders.
To adjust HPF from an input strip:
1 Bank to the channel on the control surface.
2 Press the HPF Encoder Assign switch.
3 Rotate the appropriate channel Encoder to adjust HPF fre-
quency. Press the appropriate encoder shaft switch to toggle
HPF in or out.
To bypass the built-in parametric EQ (all bands):
1 Bank to the channel on the control surface.
2 Press the EQ In switch in the ACS EQ section. The EQ In and
channel EQ In LEDs light when EQ is in-circuit.
ACS EQ Controls
The EQ controls in the ACS provide a unified, consistent set of
controls for both built-in and plug-in EQ processing for the
targeted channel. Twelve dual-purpose rotary/switch encod-
ers control EQ parameters and their settings.
D-Show-compatible EQ plug-ins can map their controls to the
ACS EQ section, and all plug-ins can be controlled using the
Output encoders in Insert mode.
FX Returns provide two bands of EQ (Hi and Lo) which can be
toggled between Bell and Shelf modes.
HPF controls for Input Channels
HPF can also be adjusted on-screen.
