Chapter 1: D-Show Profile System Introduction
Welcome to the D-Show™ Profile live sound mixing console
from Digidesign®. D-Show Profile is part of Digidesign’s mod-
ular VENUE live sound environment.
D-Show Profile offers an intuitive console layout, and sup-
ports the same flexible I/O scheme, powerful digital process-
ing, and expansion options for integrated Pro Tools recording
and artist-controlled monitor mixing as other D-Show system.
D-Show Profile Features
Control Features
• 24 bankable input channel strips, each with a touch-sen-
sitive fader and one multi-purpose assignable rotary en-
coder
• Built-In High-Pass Filter, Dynamics and EQ processors on
each input channel strip
• Level meters on each input channel strip
• Assignable Channel Sections with dedicated Bus Assign,
Aux Send, Direct Output, EQ and Dynamics controls
• 8 multi-purpose Output encoders
• 8 multi-purpose, touch-sensitive Output faders, with
solo, mute and select controls
• 1 Mains fader
• Up to 24 31-band Graphic EQs available for use on Out-
put busses
• Main Busses configurable as Left–Center–Right or
Left–Right+Mono
I/O Features
Stage Rack
• Up to 48 analog or digital inputs on each Stage Rack,
with remotely controllable mic preamps and individu-
ally selectable Phantom Power
• Up to 48 analog or digital outputs on each Stage Rack
• Redundant power supply
FOH Rack
• 8 channels of analog I/O for connecting outboard equip-
ment
• 2-channel analog/digital I/O for 2-track feed or playback
• 2-channel analog near-field monitor system outputs
• Intercom mic input
• 16 channels of MIDI I/O
• Word clock I/O for integrating external digital devices
