8.4.3 Measurement Procedures
To obtain accurate measurements, the following operating steps need to be observed:
1. Ensure the patient position in normal use, including
a) comfortably seated
b) legs uncrossed
c) feet flat on the floor
d) back and arm supported
e) middle of the cuff at the level of the right atrium of the heart
2. Relax as much as possible and do not talk during the measurement.
3. Wait for five minutes until the first reading is taken.
To start the measurement:
1) Depending on the equipment you are using, insert the cuff plug into NIBP socket on the monitor or
the FT20 Telemetry Transmitter.
2) Apply the NIBP cuff to the patient’s arm or leg following the instructions described in section 8.4.2
How to Apply NIBP Cuff.
3) Connect the cuff to the air hose. The limb chosen for taking the measurement should be placed at
the same level as the patient's heart.

8.4.4 *Auto Measurement
To perform an auto measurement,
1 Select the main menu key on the main interface.
2 Select Mother > Cycle.
3 Select a time interval from 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 15, 30, 60, 90, 120, 180, 240 and 480 minutes.
4 Select OK.
5 Press NIBP key to start an Auto measurement.
