1 Switch on the monitor.
2 Connect the TOCO transducer to the fetal monitor.
3 Gently press the center of the transducer.

4 Check that the value on the display shows this change in pressure.
If a TOCO transducer fails the test, repeat this test with another transducer. If the second one passes
the test, defect of the first transducer is confirmed. Replace it with a good one. If the second
transducer fails the test as well, contact the manufacturer for service.
7.7 Monitoring Uterine Activity Internally
7.7.1 Parts Required
a) Disposable intrauterine pressure catheter ACCU-TRACE
™
IUPC (“IUPC” for short)
b) DECG-IUP Integrated Cable
c) Wired/wireless DECG Fetal&Maternal Module

7.7.2 Directions for Use of IUPC
Preparation
1) Gather supplies: ACCU-TRACE IUPC, DECG-IUP integrated cable, and amnioinfusion
supplies if needed.
2) Open the sterile ACCU-TRACE IUPC package.
