If CE1 sends a packet with a higher MTU than on the interface facing the client (gi1/0/2) or towards the mpls-
core (gi1/0/1), the packet will be discarded.
12.11 Inter-AS Option A
This section provides examples of configuration based on the construction of l3vpn and l2vpn services.The
main feature of inter-AS Option A is the absence of mpls-tags in traffic when transferring between ABSR. To
separate client service traffic between ASBRs, VRF is usually used for l3vpn or tagging (dot1q, q-in-q) for l2vpn
services.
