Preparing parts using the Build Processor
The Build Processor is used to transform the 3D data in Magics into layer data that
can be processed by the machine.
During this process the data are transformed from the .STL format to the .SLI format.
Making job settings
1. Click Configure Platform button.
2. In the Slice Profile group box select the PPP to be used or the layer thickness.
3. In the Exposure Profiles group box, select the standard exposure type for the
parts in this job and accept using OK.
Setting part-specific exposure type
1. Click Configure Parts button.
2. Select exposure type for parts and accept using OK.
Exporting parts
1. Click Build button.
2. Enter the name of the job in the Job name group box.
On exporting the part data, the Build Processor adds to the file name a file
extension using which parts are assigned the correct exposure type on import
into the PSW.
During the calculation of the layer data the Build Processor creates an export
folder with the name of the job; the part data are saved in this folder.
