Operation of machine & accessories
Overview
The initial installation of the software required and the licensing of the software, as
prerequisites for the operation of the machine, should already have been undertaken.
However, it can be necessary to update the software and the licences at any time.
Prior to starting the building process, it is necessary to setup and prepare the
machine and to warm up the machine to building temperature. At the end of the
automatic warm up phase, the building process starts.
The SLI parts data are, depending on the method of working, either prepared with
the offline version of the PSW on a workstation, or directly in the machine PSW, and
loaded onto the machine as a job and started.
After the end of the building process, the exchangeable frame with the parts lying in
the bed of powder must cool down in the machine. Then the exchangeable frame is
removed from the machine and the parts unpacked with the aid of the components
of the IPCM EOSINT P.
On unpacking the parts, excess used powder is sieved and as recycled powder mixed
with new powder. The resulting refreshed powder can be used for a new building
process.
The parts are then cleaned of plastic powder in the Shot-peening cabinet.
Administering EOS software
Installing EOS software products
1. Close all open applications.
2. Place CD-ROM in the CD-ROM drive on the computer.
3. Start installation:
• Open Windows Explorer, select CD-ROM drive and click the installation file
eoSuite.exe
Or
➢ You will receive the PSW and other software products required together with
the machine on a CD-ROM.
You cannot start the programs from the CD-ROM, instead you must install
them on the hard disk.
➢ To start the PSW you will need a CmStick (USB dongle).
