Optics chamber
The optics chamber is in the top part of the machine and is completely covered with
panels.
It contains
➢ The laser
➢ The shutter and the beam steering with 3 deflection mirrors
➢ The laser deflection head
➢ The pyrometer.
Hazard due to invisible laser radiation!
The irradiation of eyes or the skin by direct or scattered radiation will cause
severe burns.
The optics chamber is only permitted to be opened by EOS service personnel.
