Part Property Management
Introduction
Normally on the design of a part, consideration is given to its properties by the
designer. Using the Part Property Management (PPM) and the related Part Property
Profiles (PPP), EOS creates these standardised part properties and material
characteristics for laser sintered parts. As a result it is possible to manufacture
defined, reproducible parts economically.
EOS has defined so-called Part Property Profiles (PPP) for different applications. Parts
are given these PPPs by using related PPP parameter sets and the related EOS
materials allocated.
In addition to the parameter sets from EOS, it is possible to develop custom
parameter sets with the aid of the Exposure editor. For this purpose parameter sets
that can be edited are available with the additional Initial values for parameters
module. Using these initial values it is possible to build standard parts without
making any changes to the parameters. Starting from these values, parameters can
be optimised for special requirements.
