Set-up the machine
Before parts can be built with the machine, the machine must be prepared for the
building process.
Necessary activities:
Clean machine, clean pyrometer aperture
Checking type of blade module, changing if necessary
Fit exchangeable frame
Checking, fitting powder supply bin
Checking, fitting collector bin
Recoater and building platform homing.
Preparing job using the PSW
The procedure for the preparation of a job in the PSW involves the following steps:
Making material-specific settings
- Loading / creating EOS default job or user-defined default job
- If necessary changing material-dependent shrinkage in X, Y, Z direction
- If necessary changing material-dependent beam offset.
Loading existing job
Or
Preparing new job and loading parts.
Making part-specific settings
- If necessary changing position of the parts
- If necessary adding, deleting parts
- If necessary correcting part-specific shrinkage
- If necessary, adjusting part-specific beam offset.
Saving job as *.eosjz.
Checking job, if necessary undertaking automatic building time calculation.
