Original EOS parameter sets
All parameter sets approved by EOS are called original EOS parameter sets. They are
matched to the EOS materials and correspondingly optimised. The Part Property
Profile parameter sets also provide qualified part properties and material
characteristics for specific materials, e. g. PA 2200.
All materials built using OEP are as a rule processed with the layer thickness
0.15 mm.
Exposure types for the original EOS parameter sets (without PPP)
To provide different properties within the original EOS parameter sets, the parts can
be allocated different optimised exposure types.
_Mechanic
Exposure type optimised in relation to mechanical strength, stiffness and
freedom from leaks. Not recommended for the production of complex parts.
_SkinCore
Part skin and part core are exposed using different exposure types. As a result the
building time and the part weight can be reduced with good surface quality. Not
recommended for the production of complex parts.
_Speed
Universal exposure type optimised in relation to the building speed. Very suitable
for the production of complex parts.
_Surface
Exposure type optimised in relation to the surface quality and function that is
however unsuitable for the production of complex parts.
Compromise
Exposure type for the material PA2210 FR. This exposure type is of universal
application for parts that can be subjected to mechanical loads made of
materials with increased requirements on fire prevention.
_Detail
Exposure type for the material PA 2201 black. This exposure type is characterised
by a high resolution of detail on the parts.
_basic
Exposure type for the material PrimeCast® 101. For higher strengths a skin with
a thickness of 2 mm is generated with this exposure type.
Support
The standard exposure type recommended by EOS for OEP is _Speed.
