Determining, adjusting material-dependent beam offset
The material-dependent beam offset can be measured and determined for the
specific machine by comparing the beam offset set in the PSW and the beam offset
measured on the measurement job.
1. Build and unpack measurement job.
2. Thoroughly shot-peen parts.
3. Document actual situation:
• Open evaluation file, enter general job data and save file with a new file
name.
• In the PSW open the Material tab in the HWI parameters window.
• Read beam offset with which the measurement job was built and enter in the
evaluation file.
4. Determine new value for the beam offset:
• Measure measurement part at the points defined if possible using a (co-
ordinate) measuring machine.
• Enter values measured in the evaluation file .
The new value for the beam offset is calculated automatically.
5. Enter newly calculated value in the PSW and accept using OK.
Risk of measuring errors!
Shot-peen the parts, particularly the measuring surfaces, thoroughly.
