Licensing EOS software products
If EOS software is to be installed on a machine computer, a single user dongle
EOS Customer Machine Software Dongle (CMS dongle) is required for its use.
The licences purchased must be activated on this dongle.
If EOS software is to be installed on one or more computers, a network dongle
EOS Customer Network Software Dongle (CNS dongle) is required.
A computer acts as a licence server and manages the licences for the individual
clients in the network. The CmStick only needs to be inserted in the licence
server. The licence server must be in operation continuously.
Licences can have varying validity periods. Prior to the expiry of the licence, EOS
will send an enquiry as to whether the licence is to be extended.
If a CmStick is inserted in the computer or the licence server, an EOS software
product licence can be requested or updated.
1. With the mouse pointer over the CodeMeter button in the status area of the
Windows task bar, double-click the button.
The CodeMeter Control Center window appears.
The path in the Windows program folder must be structured based on the
principle EOS\PSW\Version\ModelType\System so that the PSW can be
successfully installed. This path is pre-defined by the PSW installation wizard.
Changes to the installation path are only possible below this folder level.
