Take machine out of operation
The exchangeable frame with the parts must cool down prior to unpacking, as
otherwise the parts that are still soft may be damaged on unpacking. The nitrogen
purging in the machine prevents the parts yellowing during the cooling process.
After cooling the parts can be unpacked from the exchangeable frame. The job
should only be unpacked at a temperature of < 60 °C (in the centre of the
exchangeable frame).
Necessary activities:
➢ Remove exchangeable frame from the machine
➢ Cleaning process chamber and removal chamber
➢ Empty collector bin
➢ Filling powder supply bin if necessary
➢ Recoater blades Cleaning, checking.
Unpacking parts
With the aid of the Unpacking and sieving station the parts can be conveniently
unpacked and the used powder sieved and prepared. For this purpose the
exchangeable frame is placed in the Unpacking and sieving station, the parts and
plastic powder are then separated. The surplus used powder is sieved and can be
transported manually or automatically via the optional Recycled powder conveying
to the recycled powder bin at the dosing station. By mixing with new powder the
recycled powder is refreshed and can be re-used for a new building process via the
Powder conveying system.
Necessary activities:
➢ Checking, changing recycled powder bin
➢ Fit exchangeable frame
➢ Switching on sieving machine
➢ Unpack parts
➢ Removing exchangeable frame
Rule of thumb:
Building time = cooling time.
