With an excessively high building temperature, in the worst case all the plastic
powder in the building area may melt. Even before this situation is reached, soiling
of the recoater blades, recoating with stripes and the tearing out of parts will occur.
The building temperature should be decreased in steps until the effects no longer
occur.
An indicator for the optimal building temperature is the consistency of the
plastic powder in the cooled exchangeable frame and during the unpacking of
the parts.
Using your finger press several points on the surface of the bed of powder.
The surface of the bed of powder must not be solidified. The consistency of the
plastic powder should be loose and not baked.
If the parts can only be unpacked with difficulty due to the strongly adhering
powder, this situation is indicative of an excessively high building temperature.
