The shrinkage is, depending on the height of the overall job
➢ Less at the wall of the exchangeable frame than in the inside
➢ Greater in the middle of the exchangeable frame than at the top and bottom.
To compensate for the shrinkage, the part must be scaled up by the magnitude of the
shrinkage.
In the PSW the building height dependent shrinkage (Z direction) is compensated
automatically. During this process the linear Z compensation is calculated using the
two scaling values Z(0) and Z(600).
A Shrinkage behaviour in the
exchangeable frame
in X/Y direction
B Shrinkage behaviour in the
exchangeable frame
in Z direction
The shrinkage behaviour can be positively influenced by the optimal setting of
the process chamber temperature and removal chamber temperature.
For settings for the process chamber temperature and the removal chamber
temperature, see parameter sheet.
