➢ Support parts (dummy parts) can be positioned under parts critical for distortion
to improve the evenness.
- The distance between the dummy parts and the real part should be
approx. 0.6 mm to 1 mm.
- The number and distance to the dummy parts depend on the volume and
geometry of the real part.
- The dummy parts must be separate from each other to avoid transferring
distortion.
➢ Parts critical for distortion with long surfaces should as far as possible be
positioned diagonally in the building chamber.
