Installing an Extreme Networks 1200 W DC PSU
To install an Extreme Networks 1200 W DC PSU:
1 Attach an ESD-preventive wrist strap to your wrist and connect the metal end to the ground
receptacle, which is located on the top-left corner of the switch front panel.
CAUTION
Be sure that the grounding point on the back of the switch is securely connected to earth ground. For information
about grounding the switch, see “Grounding the BlackDiamond 8810 Chassis” on page 103, “Grounding the
BlackDiamond 8806/12804 Chassis” on page 112, or “Grounding the BlackDiamond 10808 Chassis” on page 134.
2 Verify that the 1200 W DC PSU is right side up, and press the yellow locking lever to the left while
lifting the handle (see Figure 83).
NOTE
Do not connect the input DC cable to the DC PSU before inserting the DC PSU into the switch.
